mY t@iwaN tRiP...day 2

...morning call was at 6.30, really hard for me to get up so early cos i veri not used to it.. haha.. Today we were going to head for Hualien.. Anyway, after washing up, went down for breakfast and the the food wasn't exactly great..

First stop today is a place called "Yeliu" where there are many rocks that comes in weird shapes n sizes all due to natural weathering and the pressure of waves hitting them.. wow.. so geog..
The pic above shows funny-looking rocks.. i said that they look like mushrooms, my youngest bro was hungry, so he said tat they look like muffins.. haha.. the pic below with my mum n the most famous "rock" here.. it resembles a queen's head..I love this pic where the sea and the sky meet at the horizon.. beautiful.. i dun suppose i'll haf a chance to see something like this in singapore..

After enduring hours up the hills, we finally reached a place called "Jiu Fen".. Our tour guide explained to us the origin of its name but i'm too lazy to explain.. hee hee.. Anyway, about our tour guide, his name is Huang Cai Fu.. haha.. wat an auspicious name.. but very 'song'.. Its even worse in hokkien.. it'll be Ong Chai Hock.. damn hilarious.. He said that his name apparently gives him luck.. Anyway, he's a very funny n knowledgeable person and he made the trip more fun..There was quite a lot of nice food to eat at Jiufen.. actually one of the best food there was the beef noodles but my mum asked us not to have that since we were going to a temple after that.. besides eating, we bought some useless stuff.. haha.. things like cute hp straps and the cane with a hand, something like the one they use on "xiao qi da cai shen"..Along the way to the temple, we took some pics of the tunnels and we stopped to take some pics of the beautiful scenary.. I was pleasantly surprised that taiwan is such a beautiful country.. there really are a lot of mountains and stuff.. I see a side of taiwan that i dun see on cable tv.. haha.. After going to the temple, we had dinner before heading to the Hualien: A-mei Aboriginal Cultural Village for a performance.. to be honest, the dinner wasn't very nice.. In the restaurant we saw a lot of dark-skinned ppl who look like malays but of course they weren't.. They were the A-mei zu ppl.. One singer i know tat is from A-mei zu is TANK.. My tour guide told us jay chou is part aboriginal but he doesn't know which tribe.. haha..
Anyway, something funny happened during the performance.. My 1st bro was literally dragged away to be the groom in a demonstration of their tribe's traditional wedding ceremony.. my youngest bro n i were so stunned but we were laughing at him the whole time too.. tat gal in red in the pic is his "wife".. At the end, they invited ppl in the audience to cum down to dance so my youngest bro n i volunteered since our bro was the "groom".. LOL=)
After the performance, we went to the hotel to check in.. Our tour guide told us that some rooms would be huge and he was damn right.. My room had 2 queen sized beds and my mum's colleague's kids' room was even more absurb.. they had a bloody living room.. haha.. a lot of ppl in our tour group went to take a look at their room.. everyone were so amazed at the size of the room..
